Join us at a thought-provoking screening of the film Extremis and a discussion on End-of-Life Decisions, sponsored by the Gilchrist Jewish Hospice program. The event will be held on November 4, at 7:00pm in the H. Morton Rosen Arts Center located at Beth Tfiloh Congregation and will feature keynote speaker Jessica Zitter, MD—nationally recognized advocate, author and palliative care physician. The evening will also include a robust conversation with Dr. Zitter led by Rabbi Mitchell Wohlberg and Dr. Delia Chiaramonte.

Extremis is an Oscar-nominated 24-minute documentary film that follows Dr. Zitter at a hospital intensive care unit, as doctors, patients and families face difficult end-of-life choices. It shows some of the flaws in our current medical system, the struggles doctors and families face, and a framework for moving towards a better path.
