We offer a wide range of counseling and support programs to families whose loved one has a serious illness. Gilchrist is here to answer your questions and help relieve some of the stress from caring for a loved one. Likewise, grief counseling, workshops and events are available if you need them. Above all, Gilchrist is here to support you so you don’t feel alone.

Gilchrist is here to provide support through every stage of serious illness. We provide counseling and volunteer support before and after the death of a loved one. In addition, we offer a variety of support groups and workshops. Furthermore, we help you honor loved ones through our celebration of life events. Gilchrist’s community education volunteers are also available to present on several end-of-life and grief topics. 

The following Counseling and Support programs are available to Gilchrist patients, families and the community:

Care Counseling – Our care navigators can connect you to the services and resources that are right for you.

Bereavement Counseling – We offer one-on-one bereavement counseling sessions with experienced counselors.

Community Education – Our experts on end-of-life and grief topics are available upon request to speak to community organizations.

Volunteer Support – We offer volunteer support for caregivers, such as companionship, caregiver respite and assistance with errands.

We Honor Veterans – Gilchrist partners with the NHPCO and our local VA office to provide special programs to veterans. As a result, we can ensure veterans receive care tailored to their unique needs.
